Linear AE-500 Telephone Entry System

Housed in a locked, rugged stainless steel faced enclosure, the AE-500 features a side-lit 12-key telephone style keypad with bright, easy-to-read graphics, a backlit two-line directory display with a programmable welcome message, a built-in microphone, speaker, and provision for an optional color CCTV camera.

The two relay output channels can be programmed to control electric door strikes, magnetic locks, door & gate operators, or barrier gates.

The system utilizes hands-free, full duplex telephone communications between visitors and residents for granting access.

The system can be programmed locally using the keypad, remotely with a touch tone telephone, or remotely using a computer equipped with a modem and a web browser.

ROBUST MEMORY, VIVID DISPLAY, RADIO, MODEM - THE COMPLETE PACKAGE.
There is nothing incremental about the AE-500. For a simple system, it comes fully equipped for your telephone entry application. It has ample non-volatile memory for up to 250 users, which means that even if you start with 25 users, you won't need to keep adding more memory blocks (at greater expense) as your needs grow. That memory stores up to 250 directory codes, 500 block-coded MegaCode transmitters, and 500 entry codes. An entry code can be programmed for unlimited use or as a temporary code for up to 250 activations. The latter type is ideal for contractors and other short-term system users.An especially high visibility component is a 2 line by 16 character transflective backlit LCD that brightly displays the system's user directory, as well as a helpful series of user prompts. A built-in radio offers additional entry capabilities via wireless transmitter control. An integral modem greatly simplifies programming.

Like all Linear telephone entry systems, the AE-500 includes the added value of a built-in wireless receiver and antenna. But this is not just any wireless receiver. It's the MegaCode radio by Linear, the people who pioneered radio frequency based security and access control.The famous MegaCode unit allows the use of handheld, visor clip, and keychain transmitters (the industry's largest selection) to achieve additional remote control over gates and garage door operators. Its code selection from over one million factory-set possibilities that cannot be changed in the field assures the highest protection against code theft and duplication. Use of block-coded transmitters dramatically simplifies the programming process. CONTROL FUNCTIONS BEYOND THE DOOR AND/OR GATE.
The AE-500 has two built-in general purpose (form "C") relays. Both can be configured for open/close. One can be used for the control relay and the other for a myriad of auxiliary control functions, including activation of safety edge reverse, external lighting, or alarm shunting. All relay contacts have extensive RFI,ARC, and lightning suppression.

The AE-500 can go just about anywhere telephone entry is needed. Its stainless steel cabinet can be either surface or gooseneck mounted as standard. For flush or recessed mounting, an optional trim ring is available.

Computer programming the AE-500 via a standard web browser eliminates the need for special software. Programming can also be accomplished from the AE-500's keypad or via a touch-tone telephone.
