- Large, 24V Motor - It is one of the largest swing gate motors available for any residential estate gate opener. It is capable of handling driveway security gates up to 550 lbs, which more than many heavily ornamented electric gates weigh.
- Control Board, Easy Read Diagnostics - The LED light diagnostic on the control board permits easy diagnostics of problems or missing connections. This allows efficient repair and swift continuation of normal electric gate operation.
- Soft Start/Soft Stop Soft start/soft stop is a feature in which the control board, during the set up process, learns where the opening and closing points are for the swing of the gate. Then during normal operation the gate operator automatically slows the motion of the gate to smoothly meet with the gates destination point. This reduces stress on the gate and operator for extended functionality.
- Bi-part Latch - Designed to allow one gate leaf to begin opening or closing independently for those gates that have overlapping leaves.
- Adjustable Closing Timer Set your gate to close between 0 and 120 seconds after reaching the full open position.
- Electronic Limit Switches - Set the limit switches with just the push of a button for accurate, easy setup.
- On Board Radio Receiver - It is compatible with a number of wireless remotes and allows operation of a number of devices with one remote - such as the garage door and the gate opener.

- Quick, Safe and Secure Manual Release - The LA-400 operator comes with a manual release key that can be used should the power fail and the backup battery is not charged. This ensures that the driveway gate can be opened without damaging or disconnecting any components.
- Highest Level of Safety - This operator is designed with separate force adjustments for obstructions. If the gate meets an obstruction while it is opening it will reverse to close, and if it is closing it will reverse to open. Additionally, the LA-400 is UL 325 Listed.

14" x 10" x 6," where as the larger upgraded box measures: 20" x 17" x 6."
There are two options:
w/ standard box: comes with the standard size control box.
w/ large control box: comes with larger, upgraded control box. (Please note the larger box is to store a larger battery - batteries are not included with the larger box)
