The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 Single Opener is a low voltage system, eliminating the need to run 110 AC to your gate. Simply run low voltage wire to a household outlet within 144' of the operator. The E-SC 1600 and E-S 1600 are the only two Constant Duty DIY gate openers on the market. What does this mean to you? These gate openers will run again and again without running a battery down. All other DIY gate openers run off of a battery and are trickle charged after a cycle is run to recharge that battery. If cycles are run off the battery faster then the power can charge it, then your gate opener runs the risk of being temporarily stuck closed. With the E-SC 1600 and the E-S 1600 the power for the cycles come directly from the 24V transformer plugged into a standard outlet; the batteries are strictly backup for power outages. Thus add another level of reliability and peace of mind.

Opening/Closing Soft Stop Opening/Closing Soft Stop is a feature in which the control board, during the easy set up process, learns where your opening and closing points are for the swing of the gate. Then during normal operation the gate operator automatically slows the motion of the gate to smoothly meet with the gate's destination point.
Large 24V Motor The motor of the E-SC 1600 is one of the largest found on any residential gate opener. It is well equipped to handle gates up to 800 lbs, more weight than found in many heavily ornamented gates.
Extended Setback Most gate operators have a required setback for the rear pivot point on the post. This pivot point set back many times makes it difficult to mount on columns. The E-SC 1600 has an extended setback, allowing it to be mounted to most columns or posts. PLUS custom mounting brackets are available for purchase, taking the custom work out of your project and putting the works in our hands.
Advanced Gear System The gear system is one of the most important parts of a gate opener; it influences power, control, reliability, and the life span of the motor. The E-SC 1600 uses an advanced worm gear system cutting down on bearing wear and motor deterioration.

Single Person Limit Programming Most gate openers require 2 people to set the limit switches. One person at the control board looking for a light to signal the limit is in place and a second person to adjust the limit switch to the proper location. The E-SC 1602 utilizes a audible tone to indicate when the limit switch is in the proper location. This allows for only one person to do the limit programming.
Highest Level of Safety The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 automatically reverses directions when it comes in contact with an obstruction. The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 also has the safest method of controlling safety devices. All safety devices are set up on a Normally Closed circuit. Some gate openers are set up on a normally open circuit. What this means is that the Estate Swing E-SC 1600 is virtually fail-safe. If a safety device does not activate for any reason the Estate Swing E-SC 1600 will not operate, keeping your loved ones and assets safe. Gate openers with safety devices set up on a Normally Open connection will operate with the disabled safety device and the consumer will not know the safety device is inactive until it is too late!

"Column mount are designed to work seamlessly with gate mounted onto larger square columns. These openers allow you to automate your gate while saving money during installation. Typically with larger columns you would have to cut a niche into the column to mount a traditional linear actuator or buy a expensive pad mount opener. However, with a column mount style you can achieve a simpler DIY installation.
The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 single gate opener is designed for gates from 16 feet in length or 800 lbs. The unit attaches to the gate via an articulating arm that reaches back behind the corner of the column, making it possible for setbacks that are not available to most linear operators. A concern with older model articulating arms were pinch points, Estate Swing has now eliminated these.
One great feature of modern day openers is the soft close and soft start. This takes of wear and tear off your hinges and opener as the force of the gate is not coming to a drastic stop.
The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 also features simple to program limit switches. The control board will emit a audible noise when the limit switch is in the correct position. To adjust the limit switches is very easy on the E-SC1600, simply loosen the cam lob on the top of the motor until the switch is activated.
Safety is always a top concern with Estate Swing. They have designed their system to be one the safest in the world. We at GateCrafters.com always recommend having external safety devices such as photo sensors installed on your opener to prevent damage or injury. The Estate Swing E-SC 1600, first, has an auto-reverse feature built in. Even if you do not decide to install any external safety devices, the Estate Swing E-SC 1600 will automatically reverse directions if it comes in contact with an obstruction. The top safety feature is how safety devices are wired on the Estate Swing E-SC 1600. Other gate openers have a flawed system; they are hooked up on a normally open circuit, which means if your safety device is not functioning properly it will not stop the movement of your gate. This can lead to disastrous results. The Estate Swing E-SC 1600 works on normally closed connections for safety devices. In most cases, if the safety device is not functioning properly, the normally closed connection will be open, the same as when there is a breach of the safety device, and the gate will not move.
