What are the differences between the Apollo 835/836 boards and the 1050 board by Apollo / NICE?
The A href="http://www.gatecrafters.com/product_detail_32064.aspx">1050 board is the latest board and is a joint project of Apollo and NICE. NICE purchased Apollo a few years ago because of Apollo's leadership in the solar gate opener market. NICE has been a very successful high tech Italian gate opener company and this board is a marriage between the sophistication of NICE gate opener technology and Apollo solar efficiency. Some of the best features of this board:
- Built in diagnostics such as a voltage reading for battery, incoming power, motor usage, etc.
- Three relay utility terminals for activating a multitude of options like lights and locks.

The 835/836 board is Apollo's classic board For what it lacks in technology is has in simplicity. Programming is easy: Press and hold the LED enable button for 5 seconds. Then run the gate opener back and forth from open and closed until the lights stop blinking. The board allows for addition of dealer choice of regulator, receiver and all other accessories so the gate opener system can be easily upgraded.
