I want to thank you for all the help you provided to me for what turned out to be a six month process. From my initial product questions, to help with the design of my gate, to shipping, receiving and ultimate installation, you personally provided me with nothing but professionalism, extreme patience, and the best of help.
My gate arm installation had some twists and turns as I tried to find a setback that would work for my working area and desire to have the gate open inward....which I am happy to say that it does!! During the gate arm installation, I must have called the Tech Line 1,000 times - no exaggeration. Once again, I was treated with the utmost patience and superior support. Joel Dimeo, Tony, Alex Rivera, and the entire staff were extraordinary and reflect an exemplary organization.
I would recommend Gate Crafters to anyone and everyone - provided they want to do the work themselves. Frankly, I would recommend Gate Crafters to those who would have another contractor install it. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the gate and the operation of the gate arm. I am confident that both will last.

I bought my LiftMaster / Chamberlain LA-412 in April 2013. I have waited a year to write about it because I wanted to be sure it was a good buy. I couldn't be happier! Installation took me just a couple hours because my gate and posts were already in place. I highly recommend reading the manual from front to back in a comfortable chair before starting. It helped to highlight instructions and pages that were specific to my gate. The gate works perfectly and quietly, every time. The solar charge has lasted me more than 40 openings and closings in a single day, and I'm sure it would go many more if I ever had the need. If you have sun, solar is the way to go!

I bought the opener to install on my one of my costumer's gates that we built for their home. I was a little paranoid when she and her 2 year old son came out and watched the whole setup process. But, to my surprise, this was the first opener I have installed and it took no time at all to get it fully operational. The manual was very easy and it just took a few steps to set it up. It is working great now.

Just wanted to say how happy we are with our purchases from Gate Crafters!!! Dual
7 foot driveway gates and 2002 gate openers, and with a couple of Canadian beers:)
all were installed without any problems. Straight forward and very easy to install.
Hardest part was installing the posts. They look great!! Will send a picture when
I can. Also, service is second to none. First driveway gates arrived on Vancouver
Island damaged through shipping. Gates were returned without any issues. I felt
I was taking a big risk ordering online but now feel confident that Gate Crafters
is a great company.

from Bill Anthony during my novice ordeal of setting up a new Apollo gate opener with a GSM intercom. He was always courteous and helpful
even when I might have been a bit of a pest. We had some trouble with product reliability
and function and had to swap a couple of parts to get it working as advertised,
but all is well and performing to expectations. Having been a manager in industry
for years, I know first-hand how difficult it is to acquire and retain quality associates.

Built by Gatecrafters pre 2005. 418Hz system
works with our built in Lexus transmitters. We run the gate until -20C. Without
heaters on the motor/gearboxes the grease prevents further operation. In Canada
I could not get a quote in 3 months with up to 2 years waiting time. Gatecrafters
delivered the whole system in 30 days all the way from Florida.

I purchased the Estate
Swing 16 Foot Long, Dual Driveway Gates to replace a set of iron gates that
took a lot of maintenance. I at first had doubts since the price for these aluminum
gates was less than the competitions. I received the gates today and was extremely
pleased to find that they exceeded my expectations! They are more sturdy than my

The gate was quite easy to install. We simply read the directions, gathered the
necessary supplies, installed the posts (let them set up for a day or so) and put
up the gate in less than an hour. I was impressed with how clear the directions

Just finished installing the opener today. Both the gate install and opener install
were straight forward. I did not run into any problems… I followed the instructions
that you guys provided and within only a couple of hours, my new gate was hung perfectly
straight. The opener install was also fairly simple as the instructions that came
with the GTO 2502 were very good and easy to follow. Even though I'm fairly experienced
in home improvement, it was my first gate and gate opener install and it was relatively simple. I think that just about
anybody can do it! Thanks for the great gate and opener!!

no help with any portion of it… This type of project is for a serious DIY person,
but can be done by most anyone with the tools and some mechanical skill I think.

I bought a Zareba G750 15 months ago. The installation was no problem. The reliability
of the product is horrible. It has only been 15 months and I now have to replace

September 11, 2007 Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Like most people, I have to deal with
a wide variety of service providers and suppliers in my day to day life. I am currently
fixing up an older home, so I have the opportunity to work with quite a few more
than the average number of these folks.
I tend not to waste my time writing letters about substandard service. It only serves
to disappoint me further and rarely, if ever, results in anything I would call closure.
I do, however, love to write letters when I am very satisfied with the outcome of
my relationship with a business. That's why I am writing today.
I know almost nothing about gates and even less about automatic gate openers. Your website gave the opportunity to review the
entire specs and installation materials upfront and to make sure it was exactly
what I needed. Any additional questions I had were quickly answered by a brief phone

I have recently finished the installation of the Apollo 1550 gate opener and the
Estate Swing GSM Intercom unit. This is the third brand of gate opener that I have
installed at this house and the Apollo has far exceeded my expectations. I am very
impressed with the quality of the components, the design of the unit, the function
of the unit, and the ease of installation. I only wish I had installed an Apollo
unit 8 years ago when I installed my first unit. All of the components from the
actuator arm, to the arm bracket materials, to the circuit board, to the spacious
NEMA housing, down to items like the quality of the cables, the design of the wiring
harness, even the strain reliefs are superior in design and function. This unit
installed so much easier than my other two units, the instructions were simple and
clear and well written and illustrated. The unit is mostly plug and play and worked
the first time with no problems. It almost programs itself with a very simple procedure.
The operator appears to be strong and smooth in operation. I have had problems in
the past with wind resistance against my large gate, but this operator seems like
it is going to handle the wind with no problem. I have not had a 20 mph wind day
since I installed it, but I can sense a difference in how it handles my 14 foot
steel gate so far. The soft stop works like a dream and makes a huge difference
in the amount of stress that is put on the gate and hinges when closing. I just
cannot stress enough how pleased I am with this unit. It is more expensive than
some of the other units that have similar specs, but I assure you it is worth every
penny and more. It is really too soon to assume that it is going to be good longer
term, but I am so impressed with the quality of the materials, design of the unit,
ease of installation, and function of the unit that I feel confident that this has
to be one of the best residential grade gate openers on the market. Plus, I have
about 10 or 12 neighbors that have Apollo 1500 units that have been going strong
for 8 to 10 years. The icing on the cake is that it is Made in America (even the
circuit board). I mean this when I say that owning this unit gives me pride in the
fact that it is an American made product. I am old enough to remember what that
used to mean in regards to tools, appliances, and electronics. This honestly brings
back memories of products that you felt were quality and were going to last.
The GSM intercom unit is really cool and works as advertised. I may review it at
a later time. It honestly is not of the same outstanding quality as the Apollo opener,
but it is all electronics with no mechanical parts so it should be fine. I installed
it inside the Apollo operator's NEMA enclosure so I think it will be much better
protected from the elements and the overall installation looks a lot neater.
I want to thank Joel in tech support at GateCrafters for his outstanding support.
I had a different brand and model opener that I installed prior to the Apollo and
I had several installation issues that Joel worked with me on. I then had a lightening
strike on the operator the same night that I finally got it fully operational. GateCrafters
worked with me the get the operator back up and running even though it took several
parts orders and several tech support calls. I then had a catastrophic failure of
the operator motor/arm just a couple of days later. GateCrafters worked with me
to get the Apollo 1550 unit which we determined would be a better unit for my circumstances.
GateCrafters really came through for me in this unusual set of circumstances. The
7 days a week tech support is truly amazing. Fortunately, I did not have to call
Joel for the 1550 install but it was good to know he was there if needed.
