The Estate Slide E-SL 1800 is a rack and pinion single slide gate opener meant for residential use only. It should be used on driveway gates in single home residential settings constructed of aluminum, light steel, wood, or chain link. The Estate Slide 1800 use 24V DC power, making it safe for end user installation and maintenance. Featuring a large motor and small housing the E-SL 1800 is perfect for discrete residential installation without giving up any power.
The Estate Swing E-SL 1800 Single Opener is a low voltage system, eliminating the need to run 110 AC to your gate. Simply run low voltage wire to a household outlet within 144' of the operator. The E-SL 1800 is the only Constant Duty DIY slide gate opener on the market. What does this mean to you? These gate openers will run again and again without running a battery down. All other DIY gate openers run off of a battery and are trickle charged after a cycle is run to recharge that battery. If cycles are run off the battery faster then the power can charge it, then your gate opener runs the risk of being temporarily stuck closed. With the E-SL 1800 the power for the cycles come directly from the 24V transformer plugged into a standard outlet; the optional batteries are strictly backup for power outages. Thus adding another level of reliability and peace of mind.
The Estate Slide features roller/spring limit switching. The track reaches the limit on the side of the unit to trigger the stopping points of the gate, providing an easy to install and reliable method of ending your gate's travel. The Estate Slide can be used with most accessories including the Gate Crafters exit wand, exit & safety loops, keypads, and communication systems.

The Estate Slide E-SL 1800 is a low-key, high power unit that can handle most residential slide gates. This opener would be one that is highly recommended by my staff and myself. It is a constant duty operator, which has proved to work very well on the Estate Swing 24V lines.
Its simple design keeps the overall size of the unit down to a minimum while still having a large motor. This is unique to most other gate openers found today. The Estate Slide is steel with a hard plastic top, making it virtually indestructible.
The positioning of the control board also has been well thought through for unsurpassed ease in usability. Simply remove four screws and the top comes off; there you will find the control board with plenty of room to program your opener as well as store back-up batteries.
The Estate Slide features roller/spring limit switches. These limits are highly reliable. The limit is extra long to avoid missing being tripped. It is spring contained and tipped with a roller. This makes for one easily triggered, hard to damage, reliable limit switch.

As part of one of GateCrafters.com's constant quality checks and knowledge updates. I personally go to Italy annually to visit the factories in which Estate Swing products are made. One of my goals is to see what exactly is being done to meet the high standards of the ISO 9000 ratings. What I have found is every part that is assembled is put through a computer-guided test. Some tests for example are to be sure the electrical side of the part has the correct amount of resistance; another to test the motion vibrations of moving parts, a third is the overall longevity of the part. The computer then rejects or accepts the part. Another test done at the factory is running samples of the openers at 50% duty cycle for the entire life of the warranty at its rated capacities to ensure reliability.
