The ranger series 500 D is a heavy duty all metal easy to install, low voltage (DC) residential gate opener . The solar performance is a unique and unbeaten product when compared to others in the market, it allows you up to 65 cycles per day on a 6 watt solar panel (not included) . Included with this system is the radio control and 2 button remotes making a complete package to remotely open your gate.

Gate Post or Column size (pull to open): The pre-drilled hole on actuator bracket must be located 5" behind the gate hinge and 7 1/2" to the inside of the property.
Push to Open: Yes. The pre-drilled hole on actuator bracket must be located 7" in front of the gate hinge and 4" to the drive side of the hinge.
Solar Compatible: Yes (5 watt panel kit sold separately)

U.S. Automatic Ranger 500 Series Dual Swing Gate Openers
The Plug N Go design of all installed components and the easy to understand Ranger control board makes this the simplest gate opener for the Do-It-Yourself installer. The Ranger 500 D linear actuator design can be mounted in 2 different positions making it less visible behind a cross member and improving the looks of your gate.
The Ranger 500 automatic gate opener is powered by a 12-Volt dc battery (not included). This battery is charged by the supplied transformer which requires AC power (120 VAC) to be either at the gates area or within 1000 feet of the gates area. If the AC power is more than 10 feet from the gate openers control box then additional extension cable is required.
The automatic gate openers solar charge method is optional and requires a solar panel kit (sold separately) for proper operation. Typically only one panel will be required. The Ranger dual swing gate opener is capable of a high number of cycles per day. Ranger solar performance is a unique and unbeaten product in the market offering up to 65 cycles per day on the standard 6 watt solar panel.

Bolt on brackets are provided.
They must be very securely attached (i.e. carriage bolts with lock nuts and washers). Lag type bolts are not recommended.
Loose or unstable linear actuator mounts will result in improper operation.
Depending on the type of gate, power supply and contributing environmental factors additional tools or supplies may be needed. Please review the product manual associated with this gate opener model for further details.
