The NIR-50 Retroreflective Photoeye is an extended-range infrared entrapment protection device designed for use with automatic gates, overhead doors, and barriers. This Type B1 non-contact sensor operates at distances up to 50 feet and uses a retroreflective design that directs the beam back to the photoeye using a reflector, eliminating the need for wiring to the other side of the roadway or opening.
The NIR-50 features a compact design, flexible voltage compatibility of 12-240 VDC and 24-240 VAC, and dual LED indicators that provide status information at a glance for easy setup and alignment. Its easy-to-install design makes it a practical solution for gate and door applications requiring external entrapment protection.
Note: The NIR-50 is not UL compliant and should not be used in applications that require a monitored safety device. For gate or door operators requiring monitored safety devices, compatible UL325 photoeyes are required.
