U.S. Automatic Patriot Swing Gate Operator
 
The Patriot RSL is the most efficient slide gate operator in the industry. Easily mounts to a pad or post, and features simple and convenient manual release knob with easy to adjust limit switches.
The Patriot RSL operator is powered by a 12-Volt dc battery (not included). This battery is charged by the supplied transformer which requires AC power (120 VAC) to be either at the gate's area or within 1000 feet of the gate's area. If the AC power is more than 10 feet from the gate opener's control box, then additional extension cable is required.
The automatic gate operator's solar charge method is optional and requires a solar panel (sold separately) for proper operation. Typically only one panel will be required. The Patriot RSL is designed for gates with 24 feet of leading gate edge travel if solar charged, or for gates with 32 feet of leading gate edge travel if AC charged. Accessories that are added to your gate opener must be solar friendly accessories and they will be identified as such. Review the solar region map to determine the number of cycles per day you can expect from a solar charged system.
The Patriot control board is the replacement circuit board for the Patriot gate operators. The control board includes a number of user-friendly features. It acts as the same control board for single or dual Patriot gate operators and works for both slide and swing gates. The Patriot control board also features sensitivity adjustment capabilities that can be used on Gate 1 and Gate 2 independently, so there's no need to keep fiddling with the adjustment settings. Other features include 13 LED troubleshooting lights and a 5-year control board warranty.

The following tools and supplies are suggested in the manufacturer's manual for optimal installation. They are not provided by GateCrafters, however, most tools
are available at local hardware stores for purchase or rental.

Welding is the recommended method of securing the linear actuator mounts to the gate and hinge post. Bolt on brackets are provided and are acceptable but
may require frequent service to keep tight. They must be very securely attached (i.e. carriage bolts with lock nuts and washers). Lag type bolts are not recommended.
Loose or unstable linear actuator mounts will result in improper operation.
Depending on the type of gate, power supply and contributing environmental factors additional tools or supplies may be needed. Please review the product manual associated with this gate opener model for further details.
